Sister Training Leader!

First off...Thank you SO SO SO SO much for sending me those winter clothes! I am so grateful! and I really do appreciate it! it was nice getting something from home! :)

So I just got called to be a Sister Training Leader! holy smokes I am so nervous!
I am almost shaking!

My week was good this week, it was pretty slow but great #nowalkwednesday on our mission (where we don't walk but run everywhere) was interesting this week we have been doing it for two months now and I guess i was really clumsy that day because I fell twice hahaha! The first  time I was walking down the stairs to our basement with a bowl of rice and veggies and at the last two steps I slipped backwards and rice went every where haha I felt bad for my comp cuz we spent most of our lunch time cleaning it up. Then while we were running from house to house later that evening I biffed it and busted me knee and elbow it was bleeding like crazy! Thank goodness the Cluff's were home and cleaned/patched me up!  We also got to go on exchanges with all of the other sisters in our zone for a whole day, we get to know them, see how they teach and talk to people and help them on the things they need/want to focus on to be more effective and to progress in the work :)

We are teaching these two kids 10 and 12 and there story is complicated we teach them every other weekend cuz that's when they spend time with their mom but they are planning to be baptized in December! They're mom (Jessica) isn't a member and isn't ready for baptism yet, but she is letting the kids!

Georgia is also ghetto(the broken freezer door)

Hey Ya'll!

Hey hey hey! This week was a roller coaster!
Sister p-day was so fun we played glow in the dark capture the flag. Sisters are dangerous, bruises haha but it was so fun! Tuesday we went to the temple and watched Meet the Mormons! My favorite is the candy bomber story, it made me cry...and also the story of the missionary mom of course. They were all great stories though!
Exchanges with the STL's was great! I forgot a picture sorry about that.
I got to go with Sister Fennel in PTC, they have four sisters in one appt. and they are they ones on bikes, they share the car and bike every other day when they don't have the car.
Thank you so much for sending me a package! and a letter! I have really need something from home or even just the family. I haven't been getting anything from anyone it seems and you all seem so far away right now. but I did hear from Adam and he told me about boy :(
Thanks for the pics! It's nice they threw yuh a party before you left! I miss chatting with you but I guess I have to wait until December to see y'alls face and hear y'alls voices...

Slow Week

This week has been very slow. We have had the opportunity to knock doors more than usual this week which was great! We also got to walk a lot do to the fact that our miles are low for the month. Saturday was the day to report the people we invite to be baptize, and report it to the Zl's. We were in a neighborhood and Sister Tavenner and I were like okay we are going to talk with everyone we see and invite them!....hours went by and we were able to pray with two different people but they wouldn't let us talk about the Restoration/Book of Mormon or anything. My companion and I were going to be picked up by a member to an appt. to teach an investigator (which got canceled because she was sleeping haha :) )and we couldn't believe there was no progress. We decided to say a prayer, and that we would be able to talk with those who want to hear our message, and that we would be able to invite them to be baptized. And within minutes, two men who are yard workers pulled up near a house we were standing at and we met Freddy and Nelson! (They speak Spanish more and they are not in our area) but Nelson was seemed excited! And even though it was hard to communicate with him, we some how got his number and address to give as a referral! It was amazing to see how quick our prayer was answered. I kind of wish I was a sister speaking Spanish here because we have found 3 families this month who speak Spanish and we had to give them to the Spanish Elders haha but I know I am meant to speak English hear :) The Lord is so amazing!
I know he watches over all of us, and I testify that we are not alone when we are finding there is an army with us that is not seen but you can feel them :) And as for this week, it is going to be amazing.
We are telling everyone about General Conference and our goal is to pass out at least 100 invitations if not more to come see and watch the Prophet.
We have one investigator who will be watching and this week we are trying to get our other investigator to watch it:)
Saturday's General Women's conference was amazing and so enlightening! I loved the international video about all the sisters talking about their feelings and testimonies about the Temple and how families are forever. I am so excited for this Saturday and Sunday!!!!

Last Week

So this week was amazing!!!! Christian the LA I talked about last week, we took a long shot and asked him to go on team up and he said he would meet us there! usually he looks like a redneck with cool-aid on his shirt and dip in his mouth but when we got there he was wearing shiny boots, and shirt and  a tie! he brought his scriptures! and a book that Hinckley wrote about Faith and gave the book to our investigator...my comp. and I were like "WHAT?!" #miracleshappen he is slowly comin' around :)

We knocked on a door last week as well and we did our normal door approach. We asked if we could pray with her and I asked if there was anything she wanted us to add in the blessing, she said no. So I began to pray for her and her family, and anything they stand in need of at this time in their lives etc.. and after I said amen. She was in tears. She seemed like in a rush but she asked for a pamphlet about The Restoration, and I gave her a pass-along card with our number on it. My comp. asked if there was anything we could for her, and her reply was "No you've done it" and after we left me and my comp. were silent thinking what just happened haha and then Sister Tavenner says, "Way to make her cry" (jokingly) haha  But after that I realized, even if we didn't talk to her about the Restored Gospel. or invite her to be baptized (We are supposed to do it 2-3 invites a day) She felt the Spirit! We planted a seed for her, and now  she has a little information on our message, and she has our number. And even though we didn't get to share much with her, her words "No you've don't it" were satisfying to me, because we were able to still fulfill our calling. And it was a testimony builder to me:)

The family we found last week that was on date to be baptized but decided they were not interested anymore. But we found another family yesterday (please pray for the Aranes Family...Im not sure if that is how you spell there name but the Dad's name is Carlos)
We found them yesterday! And because we are short on our miles we walked 10 miles yesterday, and we talked with everyone!

We had Stake conference this weekend. That was amazing! The Saturday session I would have to say was the best there were 2 youth speakers, President and Sister Harding spoke (they are in our stake) and the 1st and 2nd counselors from the stake spoke as well. and it was all about hastening The Work. pretty crazy!
The Sunday Session was good, it was hard to hear the speakers though but it was mainly about Jesus Christ and God and there love for us.

This morning we taught a woman named Angelia we brought a member (sister Carlson) who we live with and it was pretty intense. Sis. Carlson started out with her testimony. then We talked about Jesus Christ, because that was the topic Angelia wanted to talk about. Then the trinity subject came up. Which is something that Angelia believes in and she seems to KNOW that there is only one God. There were many references shown in the Bible that she had shown that there is only one god and we Shared some that there is proof that they are three separate beings. And Sis. Carlson was getting mad and my comp. was getting irritated, then Sister Tavenner mentioned Joseph Smith and I was able to quote the first vision and the spirit was so strong. And I was in tears and Sis. Carlson was in tears and then I just said one of the reasons how I know they are separate is because Joseph Smith said he saw 2 personages. Not one, but two. And that I have prayed about it, and I mentioned we can go back and forth on these references all day trying to prove each other our beliefs but we interpret them differently. And we invited her to pray about. I was glad that I was able to testify. And even though she didn't feel the spirit, I knew I needed to share it with her. We did end on good terms. She did take a Book of Mormon and a pamphlet and some references in the Bible. I'm just grateful that I was able to testify to her about the 1st vision and about Joseph Smith. I don't know if we will ever see her again because she was testing our Faith, and worried about our eternal salvation. I just hope for her and pray for her that she'll have the desire to know one day if not now in her life..

I love this Gospel!
